Death of Man in His Fifties After Being Detained During Anti-Begging Campaign in Amman

Al-Taj News – The Ministry of Social Development and the Public Security Directorate said in a joint statement that one of the joint anti-begging campaigns in the capital, the day before yesterday, detained a number of beggars near one of the traffic lights. While they were being taken away, one of those detained, a man in his fifties of Arab nationality, lost consciousness. He was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, where he arrived deceased.

The statement confirmed that he was referred to forensic medicine to determine the cause of death. Following an autopsy, the cause of death was determined to be the sudden cessation of the heart muscle.
